Pantai Bagan Lalang

Last weekend, we took a short trips to the beach near the city which is about 1 hour drive away. This hidden treasure is next to Hotel Pantai Morib :). Since we left early in the morning about 930am thus we are having sandwiches in the car with some cheese tart. We reached around 1030am. It was low tide so the sea is actually very very far away. The weather was good although on the way it drizzling at certain parts of the road. Nevertheless when we reach the sun is shining. My son was playing happily with the sand while my daughter was running toward the beach nearer to the sea to catch small little crabs that comes out and in of the holes. The only con is that there are some sand flies around though it is not those that makes you itch. After the beach play we went to Tanjung Sepat to have lunch at the Lover's Bridge Restaurant. We called steamed fish, claypot taufu with crab meat and fried yau mak with fu yu. The food was super licious and it cost a total around RM 100.  We were full and tired and the kids sleep on the way back home.

Our Visits to Hong Kong 2015

Planning for trips out of the country with kids in tow is definitely not easy but I would say full of fun :) We decided on the country we plan to go which is HONG KONG. It has been a place that my mum would like to visit for a quite while. There will be 6 adults with two kids in tow. Based on advise from friends whom have been to Hong Kong, it will be better to stay in a hotel as we have small children. Hotels in Hong Kong is definitely not cheap and it is indeed quite pricey and might burn a hole in the pockets. After a few weeks looking at the pricing and locations and reviews from trip advisor, we finally settled with Dorsett Mongkok which is just 5 minutes walk from the train station and with a McDonald's that operates 24 hours opposite the hotel. Not forgetting this hotel is surrounded by food too such as porridge and a good Polo Bun and very good noodles shop round the corner. There is also a cafe behind the hotel. So Food is definitely not an issue.

Day 1 in Hong Kong - Symphony of Lights

We landed at around 240pm and then taking the train followed by the free bus ride to the hotel. We reached around 4 something. After a short rest, we took the MTR and went to Tsim Tsa Shui to take a look at at the Arena of Stars which unfortunately was closed for maintenance. Nevertheless we walk along the river and took pictures of the night view in Hong Kong.

At 8pm we enjoy the Symphony of Lights with lots of others :) Then we take a stroll back to the MTR to go back to our hotel.

Day 2 in Hong Kong -  Ngo Ping 360

We walk to Olympian City 2 from the Hotel and enjoy our breakfast at Tim Ho Wan.

After our full breakfast, we walk to the MTR and board our train to Ngo Ping 360. We already bought the tickets online thus we can cut the long line of queue to collect our tickets. Boarding the Crystal Cabin we are on our way up to Ngo Ping 360.

The view was fanstastic and for someone who is scared of heights, I am fine when boarding the Crystal Cabin. At the Ngo Ping 360 we actually pre-booked a local tour that comes with Tour Around the Buddha, Tai O Village to view the Sunset and a dinner at the Heritage Hotel. My mum loves this part of the tours as the local tour was good in explaining the surroundings of the place thus gives us more understanding of the history. The dinner at the hotel was also good accompany with great music :)

Day 3 in Hong Kong - The Peak

We walk around that area near the peak and this area which is known as Central are not a walking friendly area. There are many slopes, stairs and bumpy roads. I was carrying my youngest in a kangaroo pouch and it was not easy. My mum also need to rest once in a while. But this is another interesting happening place in Hong Kong that you should not miss. We try to hunt for a place to eat breakfast at Lin Heung Tea House but unfortunately it was full house so we settled for a simple noodle place and indeed it was good. I would recommend any noodle house in Hong Kong ( **slurp **slurp). Then we head for The Peak to take the tram up. The queue was very long and the kids gets a little impatient. But we made it up to visit the Madame Tussaud's and have a great view of The Peak before we queue for the tram for the trip down again.

We head back to Tsim Tsa Shui for some malls visiting and simple dinner.

Day 4 in Hong Kong -  Free & Easy

Today is free and easy and we just take our own sweet time visiting all the markets and shopping malls.

Day 5 in Hong Kong -  Disneyland

It is the FUN day for the kids. Here we don't need much story just that you need one full day until night to enjoy Disneyland. :) Tickets if purchased online can be printed at the self service printing booth. And don't ever miss the beautiful fireworks at night. Queuing for a snapshot with Mickey and Minnie is also worth it :).

Day 6 in Hong Kong -  Ocean Park

Won't recommend it if you go on peak season as there are lots of tourist and thus makes the place crowded. I would say it is more suitable for teens instead of my smaller kids. But I love the little streets and also the cable ride up to the top as there is more view but a little more scarier than the Crystal Cabin though.

Day 7 Back to Home
